harvest dinner

Last Saturday was the annual Harvest Dinner in the park where I live. Above is a picture of Lansing peeling very smelly smoked trout for the salad. There were wine pairings with each dish. Below are some pictures of Lansing and a few other people working on the fresh pasta for the torteloni.

These rolls are created by carefully mixing flour, eggs, and olive oil. They are then rolled through the pasta maker several times into very thin sheets. Lansing then squeezed the stuffing through a pastry bag onto the sheets, sealed them with cold water, and cut them into pieces of ravioli. He then twisted the ravioli into torteloni.
